After tragedy forces six young fishermen from their home, an ancient story offers one impossible hope: a lost crown, cast into a distant volcanic mountain, may one day be recovered by the person destined to restore justice to their people.
Their search carries them north along great rivers and through a Persia being transformed by war. As news of their quest travels ahead of them, friendship, sacrifice, courage, and leadership are tested. What begins as a desperate journey gradually becomes a legend larger than any of the young men who set it in motion.
